Hendersonasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Supply whether he is aware that the Carlisle Corporation has been refused a permit to obtain the necessary material to erect barriers in order to regulate omnibus passenger queues in the interests of public safety; that during this last month this corporation was compelled to agree to 16 applications for enclosing grave spaces with iron railings because they possess no legal powers to refuse same; and what action does he contemplate taking in these matters?
