asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will reduce the number of coupons to be surrendered for a pair of men's socks below the three at present required, in view of the fact that a pair of average weight socks takes less than three ounces of wool and the present ration of wool is two ounces for a coupon, and a woman can obtain a pair of hip-length woollen stockings for two coupons?
