HC Deb 08 October 1941 vol 374 c979
39. Mr. Sorensen

asked the Undersecretary of State for the Colonies whether he has considered copies of resolutions respecting Colonial policy adopted by a recent conference of West African students; and whether the proposals contained therein will receive sympathetic consideration in relationship to future Colonial development?

Mr. George Hall

Copies of the resolutions referred to have been received in the Colonial Office. The subjects dealt with, many of which present problems of considerable difficulty and complexity; are receiving careful consideration.

Mr. Sorensen

Is the hon. Gentleman likely to forward to this group of students any considered reply or observations?

Mr. Hall

These resolutions take up no fewer than 12 foolscap pages and cover very many intricate and difficult questions. I have no doubt that a reply will be sent.
