§ The Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Supply (Mr. Harold Macmillan)The responsibility under the Minister for the production of tanks rests with the Director-General of Tank Supply, the Deputy Director-General of Tank Supply and three Directors of Tank Supply (A), (B) and (C). The division of duties between the three Directors is: (A) supply and delivery of raw materials; statistics and co-ordination; liaison with the Raw Materials Controls; (B) erection of tanks, and ordering and servicing tank supplies from overseas; and (C) ordering of components and spares; tank repairs; control of Tank Production Area Organisation; plant extension schemes.
