HC Deb 02 October 1941 vol 374 cc698-9
22. Sir F. Fremantle

asked the Minister of Health whether he has received any report from the committee presided over by the Under-Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs on distribution of medical man-power, or when such report may be expected?

Mr. E. Brown

Yes, Sir. An interim report has been received and action is being taken on the recommendations. These include suggestions for the establishment of regional committees to promote the maximum co-operation between civil and service medical establishments, the continued recruitment for the time being of medical officers for the Forces at the rate at which they are now being recruited, the compilation of particulars of bed accommodation and staffing for all civil hospitals and measures to secure greater mobility of resident medical staffs as between one hospital and another.

Sir F. Fremantle

Has this report been passed on to the Central Medical Board?

Mr. Brown

I should like notice of that question.
