§ 86. Sir I. Alberyasked the Undersecretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether he is aware that many persons who would gladly extend hospitality to Dominion troops in this country are unable to do so on account of the food rationing regulations; and will he confer with the Minister of Food on this matter?
Mr. WhiteleyI have been asked to reply. I will certainly confer with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Food, but I feel bound to say that I see considerable difficulty in arranging for the exemption of any one section of the community from the operation of the food rationing regulations, even in the circumstances mentioned by my hon. Friend.
