asked the Secretary of State for Air whether he will give an assurance that airmen becoming redundant in the balloon trades will, upon being re-mustered, under no circumstances receive a lower rate of pay than at present, irrespective of the rank they assume in a lower group?

Captain Balfour

Yes, Sir. The airmen in question continue to draw the pay of their previous rank (other than acting rank) if it is more favourable than the pay of their new rank or trade.
