§ 23. Sir J. Mellorasked the Postmaster-General whether, having regard to his 735 announcement that letters for delivery on 25th December must be posted not later than 20th December, he will give an assurance that letters, upon which an express fee has been paid, will not be delayed during the Christmas period?

I am happy, however, to assure him that the Post Office this Christmas period will use its best endeavours to deal with express letters as satisfactorily and as expeditiously as last Christmas, when in fact there was little or no delay.
Sir J. MellonWill my right hon. Friend, in the interests of the war effort, do everything possible to secure that there is no delay in the delivery of business letters during the Christmas period?
§ Mr. MorrisonCertainly, Sir.
