HC Deb 11 November 1941 vol 374 c2030
40. Sir Reginald Clarry

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether growers of pulses in Tasmania and New Zealand have lately made changes in their crop areas and are now producing an increased quantity of dried blue peas for human consumption in this country and will our purchases of this important food product from Tasmania and New Zealand be restricted or adversely affected by the operation of the Lease-Lend Act?

Major Lloyd George

The answer to the first part of my hon. Friend's Question is "Yes," and to the latter part "No."
