HC Deb 29 May 1941 vol 371 cc1989-90
76. Mr. Mander

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he can now state the arrangements made for the distribution of oranges through schools and clinics with a view to their use by children where the need is greatest?

Major Lloyd George

No, Sir. A statement on this subject will be issued as soon as possible.

Mr. Mander

Is my hon. and gallant Friend aware that there is a very widespread feeling in the country that this method is by far the most equitable and useful of any the Government could adopt, and will he give it very careful consideration?

Major Lloyd George

That aspect of the matter is being considered.
