HC Deb 29 May 1941 vol 371 c1992
58. Lieut.-Colonel Sir Thomas Moore

asked the Minister of Information whether he proposes, in view of the attitude of the Vichy Government, to arrange for the British Broadcasting Corporation to emphasise its comment to the French people on the war news of the day?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Information (Mr. Harold Nicolson)

The B.B.C. has already been requested to make abundantly clear to the people of France, by way of comment on the news and otherwise, the views held by His Majesty's Government, as well as by the Free French, on the deplorable policy of the Vichy Government.
