Major Lloyd GeorgeI have no information which suggests that sufficiently nourishing food is not available in canteens for munition workers, but I shall be glad to look into any particular case which my hon. Friend may have in mind. All registered canteens are entitled to receive supplies of meat on the prescribed scale, and although it is not lawful for cheese and meat to be served to the same person at the same meal, a preferential allotment of cheese is available for canteens serving workers engaged on essential production.
