Gibsonasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Shipping whether he is aware that difficulties have arisen regarding allotments by British seamen serving on Norwegian vessels; whether these difficulties have been cleared up, and whether he has any statement to make regarding future such allotments? Colonel Llewellin: Yes, Sir. We have been in communication with the Norwegian authorities and have explained the procedure used here for making allotments. The Norwegian authorities are anxious to remove the difficulties that have arisen and are considering the steps to be taken for that purpose.
