Mr. David Adamsasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether, in all vulnerable parts of the country, adequate staffs of paid cooks have been engaged with a view to catering for bombed-out people either in their own towns or in surrounding neighbourhoods to which they may have to move; and whether there is now no danger of sufferers from air raids failing to receive such attention?
Major Lloyd GeorgeArrangements have been made to supply to local authorities in all vulnerable areas cooking equipment and foodstuffs to be brought into use in an emergency. The local authorities concerned arrange for the necessary staff, either paid or unpaid, to be available when the occasion arises. In addition, facilities for meals service has been provided by convoys and mobile canteens.
