HC Deb 06 May 1941 vol 371 c687
37. Mr. Windsor

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Shipping whether he has any statement to make on the holding up of British shipping in American ports?

Colonel Llewellin

The despatch of ships in United States ports is on the whole very satisfactory. Some delay to individual ships is inevitable from time to time, but my right hon. Friend's representative in New York does everything possible to reduce this to the minimum.
