Following is the reply:

The following table shows the approximate cost of administration of the Assistance Board for the calendar years from 1935 to 1940:
Calendar year. Cost of Salaries and other expenses incurred directly by the Board. Cost of services rendered by other Government Departments including services rendered by the Ministry of Labour in connection with the receipt of claims for, and the payment of, unemployment allowances. Total.
