HC Deb 11 March 1941 vol 369 cc1151-2
44. Sir I. Albery

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that claims for war damage suffered by persons who are tenants of public utility undertakings are being refused; and whether he will state how such persons are to obtain compensation?

The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Sir Kingsley Wood)

I am not aware of any refusals to accept such claims, but I will gladly look into any cases of which my hon. Friend cares to send me particulars. Claims by such persons should be made in the ordinary way to the district valuer of the Inland Revenue Department.
