HC Deb 06 March 1941 vol 369 cc1013-4
47. Mr. Lyons

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will appoint a committee of agricultural experts in this House to report as to the results of the work of the agricultural committees of Sussex and West Surrey, respectively; particularly, whether the lands in the residential localities of these areas are at length being fully devoted to increased production of foods in various forms?

The Minister of Agriculture (Mr. R. S. Hudson)

I see no reason for the appointment of such a committee.

Mr. Lyons

Is the right hon. Gentleman satisfied that the work has been done in residential areas?
