asked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been drawn to the difficulty of drawing attention of vehicles to waiting free-lift passengers; and will he consider arranging for some sign or signal to be displayed by motorists when they are willing to carry such passengers, so making it better for both parties?

Such labels are already carried by a large number of motorists, but if my hon. Friend has any suggestions for making them more effective I shall be glad to consider them.
