HC Deb 25 June 1941 vol 372 cc1026-7
14. Mr. Parker

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport when the vacancy on the London Passenger Transport Board, caused by the expiry of the appointment of Mr. Frank Pick, is to be filled?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport (Colonel Llewellin)

When this vacancy on the Board appeared last year, it was thought to be unnecessary that it should be filled for the time being. The need for filling the vacancy is reviewed from time to time, but I cannot say at present when an appointment will be made by the Appointing Trustees.
