HC Deb 11 June 1941 vol 372 cc176-7
23. Mr. Crowder

asked the Postmaster-General whether telephone subscribers and private circuit renters will have to insure Post Office apparatus on their premises under the War Damage Act, 1941?

The Postmaster-General (Mr. W. S. Morrison)

The Post Office will not make any claims against telephone subscribers or private wire renters in respect of war damage to Post Office apparatus on their premises and accordingly they will not need to, and should not, insure such apparatus under the War Damage Act, 1941.
