HC Deb 10 June 1941 vol 372 cc8-9
10. Sir Herbert Williams

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the announcement that it is intended to introduce legislation to deal with frustrated contracts in accordance with the recommendations of the Lord Chancellor's Law Revision Committee, he will now advise Lloyds Insurance Company of the desirability of withdrawing its circular of 19th July last, in which it was stated that they did not intend to make a return of premiums to insurers on the unexpired period of insurance policies which had been frustrated?

Mr. Lyttelton

No, Sir. I am not aware that Lloyds have issued any circular in the terms suggested by my hon. Friend.
