asked the Prime Minister whether His Majesty's Government still adheres to the policy of the Balfour Declaration of 1917 to establish a National Home for Jews in Palestine?

There has been no change in the policy of His Majesty's Government with regard to Palestine.

Mr. Lipson

While thanking my right hon. Friend for that welcome reply, may I ask him if full account will be taken of that answer in any discussions which take place in Cairo?

Do the Government stand by the principle laid down in the White Paper?

I have said that there has been no change in the policy of His Majesty's Government with regard to Palestine. That policy has been announced at various times over a considerable number of years.
