§ 36. Mr. Lindsayasked the Home Secretary whether he is now in a position to state the number of paid wardens between the ages of 30 and 41; and whether they are to be exempt from military service, or are to be called up in September?
§ Mr. H. MorrisonThere are approximately 5,600 whole-time wardens whose obligations for military service are deferred for varying periods ended 30th September. It is not proposed that there should be any further general deferment of wardens. Individual cases of key wardens will still be considered on their merits.
