Colonel Arthur Evans

Can the hon. Gentleman tell the House the figures relating to 1940 and say whether he is satisfied with the establishment charges this year?

Mr. Peake

The statement I am circulating contains a good deal of detailed information, rather more than my hon. Friend asked for, and I think it would be better if my hon. and gallant Friend saw the figures in detail before asking further Questions.

Following are the figures:

The following are the receipts and establishment charges of the Welsh Church Commission for the years 1920, 1921, 1930 and 1940, respectively. The figures for 1920 are for nine months only, as the Act came into force on 31st March. Accordingly as 1920 is not a good year for comparative purposes, figures for 1921 have also been given.
