asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Supply whether he can give any information in connection with the sale of the Welsh Highland Railway, the length of the rail way, and the price paid for it?

The material on the Welsh Highland Railway was requis- itioned by the Ministry of Supply some little time ago and is now in process of recovery for scrap purposes. The length of the track is approximately 21 miles and 57 chains. No claim for compensation has yet Been received from the owners and consequently no payment has been made.
