§ 48. Major Procterasked the Lord President of the Council what machinery has been set up by the Scientific Advisory Committee for examining new scientific or technical developments which may be of importance to the war effort?
§ Sir J. AndersonThe principle adopted by the Committee is that any new scientific or technical development which may be of importance to our war effort shall be referred for examination to authorities competent in the subject. The range of such developments is very wide and the procedure varies according to the circumstances of the case. The machinery, therefore, is flexible.
