Major Lloyd GeorgeThe whole of the end of season reserve supplies of old potatoes held by the Ministry have been released to the trade. Supplies are reaching the main consumption centres daily, but it is impossible to state the exact quantity which will arrive on the markets during the week ending 13th July.
§ Mr. ThorneIs my hon. and gallant Friend making any arrangements for the purpose of getting supplies from Eire to this country?
Major Lloyd GeorgeI shall have to have notice of that question, but we are hopeful that the supply of new potatoes will shortly be substanially increased.
