§ 75. Mr. Noel-Bakerasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will ask the senior British officer now in 321 Abyssinia to collaborate with His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor of Ethiopia, in preparing a report concerning the crimes committed by the Italian Fascist authorities and forces during their occupation of the country?
§ Mr. ButlerI should like to discuss this matter with the hon. Member.

§ Mr. ButlerNo, Sir.
§ Mr. Noel-BakerIn view of the many known atrocities committed by the Italians during their occupation of the country, is it not a very remarkable fact that no reprisals were made by the Ethiopians? Is it not desirable that the Government should give publicity to the fact that they have so scrupulously obeyed the orders of their Emperor?
§ Mr. ButlerYes, and the hon. Gentleman has done service in bringing the matter to the attention of the House.
