HC Deb 03 July 1941 vol 372 c1490
52. Mr. Douglas

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of an in crease in the number of samples of milk found to be deficient in fat; and whether, in view of the shortage of fats and the consequent necessity of keeping available supplies up to standard, he will urge upon the authorities concerned the necessity of vigilance to prevent the abstraction of butter fat from milk?

Mr. E. Brown

According to my information, food and drugs authorities are fully aware of the importance of this matter, and are active in taking steps to enforce the law with regard to it. I am, however, keeping the matter under review, and if I were convinced of the need for such action as my hon. Friend suggests, I should certainly take it.
