asked the Home Secretary whether he can state the number of tracks now being used for dog racing in this country?

I understand the number is between 100 and 150; but many of the smaller tracks have been closed, and without special inquiry I cannot give the exact number.

Mr. Glenvil Hall

Does not my right hon. Friend think that dog racing comes into a very different category from horse racing, and will he not take some action?
