HC Deb 02 July 1941 vol 372 cc1347-8
47. Mr. Wootton-Davies

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Supply, in view of the continued appeal for scrap, why girders and steel frames are allowed still to remain derelict in bombed buildings in London, and especially in the City; and whether he will suggest to those authorities concerned in the collection of such articles the need for greater energy?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Supply (Mr. Harold Macmillan)

I would refer my hon Friend to the reply given to the hon. Member for Plaistow (Mr. Thorne) on this subject yesterday.
