asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food the present total staff of the Ministry, and also the total staff employed in the local food offices?

Mr. Johnstone

The total staff employed by the Ministry is approximately 30,200, of whom about 22,000 are employed in the local food offices, and upwards of 4,000 in other provincial offices.
