§ 65. Sir L. Lyleasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the number and nature of complaints of waste and extravagance which have been brought to the notice of the Treasury, and which have been investigated?
§ Captain CrookshankI presume that the hon. Member has in mind what my right hon. Friend said in the House on this subject on 6th February. I am afraid that no central record is available of the miscellaneous complaints which 161 have been made in the course of day-today correspondence. My right hon. Friend has already made it clear that all are investigated in consultation with the Department concerned.
