asked the Minister of Pensions whether he will consider increasing the allowance of 14s. per week for air-raid injury payable to women, which compares very unfavourably with the £1 is. payable to men?

This, among other matters, arising on the scheme of civilian compensation, is under active consideration.

Will the Minister bear in mind that trains, bus fares and food in restaurants, as well as many other items, are as expensive for women as they are for men?
