HC Deb 18 February 1941 vol 369 cc5-6
8. Mr. Crowder

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware of the very serious delay which is taking place in authorising new establishments; and will he take steps to accelerate the work being done by the Establishments Committee?

Captain Margesson

Proposals for new establishments have to be very carefully considered in relation to other requirements and the resources available, and the time taken varies according to the circumstances of individual cases. Owing to technical difficulties, there has been some delay in printing new establishments, but steps are being taken to obviate this.
