Resolved, That for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make provision with respect to war damage to immovable property and to goods, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—

  1. (a) of such sums as may be required to be paid into the Road Fund for the purpose of the payment thereout of grants to local authorities in Great Britain in respect of contributions required by or under the said Act to be made by them towards the expense of making payments in respect of war damage to highways; and
  2. (b) of any expenses incurred by the Public Works Loan Commissioners in discharging any liability imposed upon them by virtue of any provisions of the said Act relating to contributions." [King's Recommendation signified.]—[Captain Crook-shank.]
