§ Sir V. WarrenderI am glad to say that the position mentioned by my hon. and gallant Friend has recently ceased to exist. A colonial allowance designed to place all naval officers stationed ashore 1929 in Malta on a similar footing to Army and Royal Air Force officers has been granted with effect from 1st October, 1940.
