HC Deb 10 April 1941 vol 370 c1697
80. Mr. Lindsay

asked the Minister of information whether there is any danger of interference with the production of propaganda films by the calling up of men whose skill is essential to such production and who are, therefore, key men in the war effort?

Mr. Nicolson

My right hon. Friend is in consultation with my right hon. Friends the Minister of Labour and National Service and the President of the Board of Trade with a view to ensuring that sufficient skilled man-power is retained for the production of propaganda films—and of films generally—having regard to the manpower needs of the Armed Forces.
