HC Deb 03 April 1941 vol 370 c1164
54. Mr. Rostron Duckworth

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food when he proposes to investigate the working of the new marmalade-jam Orders; and whether experience has already shown that the supplies of jam will be excessive unless they are rationed separately from the other commodities which are now included with it?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food (Major Lloyd George)

The scheme, as my hon. Friend will be aware, is of very recent inception, and its working is being kept under continuous review. The answer to the second part of the Question is in the negative.
