50. Mr. De la Bèreasked the Minister of Agriculture whether notwithstanding the publicity given to the injurious effect of weeds upon the output from farms, and the failure of the county and local authorities adequately to cope with weeds, he will bring to the attention of all county war agricultural executive committees the necessity of taking immediate action to ensure that they exercise their powers, so that immediate steps are taken to curtail this nuisance?
§ Mr. Munro (Lord of the Treasury)I have been asked to reply. As my right hon. Friend informed my hon. Friend in his reply to a similar Question on 25th July, he has already drawn the attention of war agricultural executive committees to their powers in this matter.
