§ The Secretary of State for India (Mr. Amery)The Working Committee of the Congress has passed a resolution rejecting the Viceroy's proposals. The Working Committee of the Moslem League has passed a resolution welcoming the Viceroy's statement but requesting recon- 3 sideration and further information as regards the proposed expansion of the Executive Council. The views of other parties have not yet been made known.
§ Mr. GallacherIn view of the fact that Congress is the important and deciding factor, will not the right hon. Gentleman consider a new approach to this question?
