HC Deb 17 October 1940 vol 365 cc817-8
5. Mr. Rhys Davies

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is award that there is dissatisfaction among men who were employed away from home when the Order controlling the movement of skilled labour was issued; that they have since been able to find similar work nearer their homes, but are told that that is not allowed; and if he will take steps to relax this Order in these cases?

Mr. Bevin

I am not aware of any general dissatisfaction, but if my hon. Friend will let me have particulars of any individual cases I shall be glad to have inquiries made. I must, of course, be guided in this matter by the necessities and the urgency of production.
