HC Deb 17 October 1940 vol 365 c822
65. Mr. Tinker

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of the difficult circumstances of those persons who are on disability benefit from the National Health Insurance; and will he have this question examined to see whether a way can be found to give some increased benefit to them?

Mr. M. MacDonald

I shall be saying something about this in the discussion which is to take place later.

Mr. Tinker

Do I understand from that reply that the right hon. Gentleman is sympathetic to my request and will see that it is done?

Mr. MacDonald

Perhaps the hon. Member will wait to see what I do say.
