§ The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Supply (Mr. Harold Macmillan)I have had a list prepared showing the names of the various controllers of materials and the main business interests with which they were connected prior to their appointment, which I propose to circulate in the OFFICIAL REPORT. Controllers are appointed by letters, the texts of which differ in detail according to the particular circumstances of each case. There is, however, in all cases a general 1577 requirement that a controller must agree to cease from active participation in the management of those businesses which are
