HC Deb 08 May 1940 vol 360 c1233
64. Mr. R. Robinson

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that the Ministry of Food bulletin contains very little information which has not already been conveyed to food executive officers; and whether, in view of the great shortage of paper and the general need for economy, he will discontinue publication of this bulletin?

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

The size of the bulletin is being further reduced but I do not consider it desirable to dispense entirely with this means of conveying information from the headquarters of the Ministry to the large number of local offices, on the numerous current matters of administration.

Mr. Robinson

Will my hon. Friend undertake to save paper by cutting out the vast amount of irrelevant matter in this bulletin?

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

That has already been done.
