§ 63. Major Sir Jocelyn Lucasasked the Postmaster-General whether he now has any statement to make on the issue of a Franco-British stamp?
§ Captain WaterhouseAs a result of the discussions I have had with the French Minister of Transmissions, who came to this country for the purpose on Monday last, general agreement has been reached in regard to the issue of a joint Franco-British stamp. It is hoped that the issue may be made in the autumn.
§ Mr. ManderHas any decision been come to as to the design? Is it proposed to make a new design, or to use an existing one, such as was used at the time of the King's visit to Paris?
§ Captain WaterhouseIt is proposed to issue a new design, but as all designs have to be approved by the King, the House will not expect me to say anything more about that.
