11. Mr. Duncanasked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware of the waste of paper and time by employers having to fill in three forms when an employé leaves their service; and will he arrange for all 2102 the required particulars for the Employment Exchange and the Unemployment Assistance Board to be included on one form in future?
§ Mr. E. BrownI assume that my hon. Friend is referring to the routine inquiry from an employer for the reason why a worker left his employment. Current instructions provide against duplication of inquiries by the Ministry of Labour and National Service and the Unemployment Assistance Board in such cases. I am having investigation made into the circumstances of the case about which my hon. Friend wrote to me.
