Will the Prime Minister state what will be the Business of the House during the first week after the Easter Recess, and also the date of the opening of the Budget?

The Prime Minister

The Business will be as follows:

Tuesday, 2nd April—Motion to move Mr. Speaker out of the Chair on the Civil Estimates and Estimates for the Revenue Departments.

Wednesday, 3rd April—Second Reading of the Agricultural Wages (Regulation) Amendment Bill.

Thursday, 4th April—Motion to approve the Unemployment Insurance (Increase of Benefit in respect of Dependent Children) Order, and Committee stage of the Societies (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill; and, if there is time, of the Special Enactments (Extension of Time) Bill (Lords) and Solicitors (Emergency Provisions) Bill (Lords).

The House will not sit on Friday.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer will open his Budget on Tuesday, 23rd April.
