22. Mr. White (for Mr. W. Roberts)asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will give further consideration to filling the vacancy on the board of the Wheat Commission, by appointing a representative of the Association of Agricultural Co-operative Societies, in view of the fact that two representatives of the private traders in home-grown wheat are already members of the Commission?
§ Sir R. Dorman-SmithI assume that the hon. Member is referring to the application made by the Agricultural Co-operative Managers' Association for the appointment of a representative on the Wheat Commission. I have given this application very careful consideration, but cannot see my way to recommend it.
